Our library has a cart with 18 wireless computers with internet access for student use.  We offer videoconferencing capabilities and many digital resources.  We have approximately 8,000 books and several periodicals for student and faculty use.  We offer a wide selection of educational videos and DVD's.

Whether you're looking for accurate information on a particular topic, or just some pleasant reading, please stop in the Library.

Mission Statement and Goals
Mission Statement
 
The mission of the Little Flower UFSD library media center is to ensure that students and staff become effective users of information, and to foster a love of reading. This mission is accomplished by providing up-to-date print, media and electronic resources that will inform, educate, inspire and entertain the students and staff of the Little Flower School. Special attention is given to providing resources that will support and enhance the curriculum, interests and special needs of our diverse population.
 
 
Library Media Program Goals
 
  • To become an integral part of the instructional program of the Little Flower School by providing a learning environment that encourages intellectual exploration, curiosity and active learning.
  • To assist students in learning to access, evaluate, and use information in all of its various formats.
  • To promote authentic learning and assist in the creation of interdisciplinary research-based projects.
  • To emphasize the importance of ethical conduct in a world dependent on information technology.
  • To encourage students and staff to develop high standards of academic behavior.
  • To encourage an appreciation of reading and life-long learning.
  • To provide resources that support the school curriculum and represent a diverse range of experiences, perspectives and learning styles.
  • To provide an environment that will instill in students a desire for the life-long use of libraries for academic, occupational and recreational pursuits.
  • To assist students in becoming information literate, independent learners who will contribute positively to the learning community and to society.
